I had been running Sing It Out! Virtual Choir online through Zoom and each week focused on a decade.

Cards for the Elderly

It all started during the doorstep claps for the NHS. As a Spider-man children’s entertainer I thought it would be great to bring some joy to the kids on my estate.

Wasting My Days

When we went into lockdown all my work stopped overnight. I had a full programme of live gigs and festivals, alongside leading weekly community choir sessions.

Stop the Stigma

I am a poet, painter and activist trying to stop the stigma of mental health. It’s been tough during Lockdown as I live on my own and am struggling with isolation.

Covid Comics

I am a UX/ UI/ digital designer, illustrator, and amateur photographer from Pontefract. At the outbreak of the Coronavirus pandemic, I began to draw comic strips to keep busy and maintain positive mental health throughout the stressors of Covid-19 and Lock Down, as a means of escapism and expression. I make a lot of art as a hobby anyway, particularly watercolour paintings and watercolour comic strips.

On the Front Line

As a nurse on a Covid Palliative Care Ward I’ve been very anxious about bringing my nurses uniform home. I saw a post on a Covid nurses Facebook group, and it was someone making uniform bags. A friend of mine had been wanting to help the nurses and I suggested this idea. Within a few days there was a small army of about 4 ladies who began making bags and dropping them on my gate post for me to take into work and distribute to staff.
